Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how SopFaceForge (“the App”), provided by sopthedrone / sopee (“we”, “us”), handles information when you use the macOS application and this website (sopfaceforge.sopee.net).

1. Summary

SopFaceForge is a desktop creative tool. It is designed to work primarily on your Mac. We do not require an account inside the App, and we do not sell personal data.

2. Information the App processes

• Project files you create — watch-face designs and exported Monkey C projects are stored where you choose (for example your Documents folder or a path you select). These files stay on your device unless you share them yourself.
• Local preferences — such as remembered USB watch friendly names — may be stored in standard macOS preferences (UserDefaults) on your Mac.
• Build / toolchain paths — the App may read local Garmin Connect IQ SDK locations and related files that you install separately, solely to compile or run tools on your machine.
• USB device metadata — when you connect a watch, the App may read USB product identifiers and serial numbers exposed by macOS to help install or stage a .prg file. This information is processed locally.

3. Information we do not collect by default

Unless you contact us, we do not collect:

• Account credentials for SopFaceForge (the App has no login)
• Analytics SDKs that track usage across the App
• Advertising identifiers
• Health, fitness, or continuous location data from your watch

4. Website

This marketing / support website is static. Your hosting provider or CDN may automatically log standard server request data (for example IP address, user agent, and requested URL) for security and reliability. We do not run third-party advertising trackers on these pages.

5. Communications

If you email support@sopee.net, we receive the content of your message and your email address so we can respond. We keep support correspondence only as long as needed to help you and maintain records of the request.

6. Third-party services

The App can work with tools you install yourself, such as the Garmin Connect IQ SDK, Simulator, or MTP helpers (for example OpenMTP). Those products are governed by their own privacy policies. Apple may also process information related to TestFlight or Mac App Store distribution under Apple’s policies.

7. Data storage and security

App data lives on your Mac under your control. Use your usual macOS protections (FileVault, account password, and careful sharing of exported projects). We cannot access your local project files remotely.

8. Children’s privacy

SopFaceForge is a developer / creative tool and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction).

9. International users

If you contact us from outside Poland / the EU, your message may be processed in the European Economic Area where we operate support.

10. Your choices

• Do not connect a watch if you do not want USB metadata read locally.
• Delete project files and preferences from your Mac at any time.
• Uninstall the App using standard macOS methods.
• Email us to request deletion of support emails we hold.

11. Changes

We may update this Policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App or site after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
